Boston Mayor, Councillor Frank Pickett, will raise the Armed Forces Day flag at 10.30am on Monday, June 21, to help raise awareness of the Armed Forces.
British Armed Forces Day takes place on Saturday, June 26, this year and local authorities across the country are once again taking part in the simultaneous hoisting of the Armed Forces Day flag on June 21, to be flown until after Armed Forces Day itself. An Armed Forces Day Flag will also be flown from the Municipal Buildings during this time as usual.
The Mayor will be raising the flag at the flag mast in Memorial Gardens, Wide Bargate, to recognise the sacrifice, commitment and service of the men and women in Britain’s Armed Forces.
