There could be delays for anyone crossing from Lincolnshire into Norfolk next month (September).
Lincolnshire County Council Highways say resurfacing works at the Cross Keys swing bridge over the River Nene at Sutton Bridge are expected to run from September 23 for four weeks, with preliminary work in the first week of September for two days. The bridge will remain open to traffic, but via one lane and with traffic signals. A diversion will also be in place.
The bridge will still remain operational for marine traffic.
Significant disruption and severe delays in the area while the work is carried out are expected, and the county council is advising people to use the diversion route via Wisbech.
