Our much loved 1940s event will be returning this year on Sunday 12th June 2022, 11am to 5pm. Due to COVID this event has been cancelled for the last two years so Boston Borough Council are thrilled to be able to organise and manage this very popular event again this year, at the request of the community.

With the sponsorship and support of Boston Big Local and Boston Town Area Committee this will be a FREE event and we hope to make it great. We have received more applications this year than ever before, meaning it will be an even bigger and better event than previous years.

Councillor Tracey Abbott, Portfolio Holder for Town Centre said “We are delighted that the 1940s event will be returning this year. It is a very popular event and is a lovely way to bring the community together. We are hoping it is going to be even more fantastic than previous years, it will be wonderful to see you all there.”

This year will see the return of live music and entertainment in Central Park from 11am, featuring vintage garden games, an afternoon tea parlour, arts and crafts and live performances from Miss Lily Lovejoy, Boston Ukulele Group, Charlie Buck, Pete Jones, Sparky & Sprite, Boston Jive, Matt Worthington, Stuart Lowther and The 40s Home Front. There will also be vintage vehicles, tractors and engines, military vehicles, re-enactments and vintage trade stands.

Also the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Fly Past with Lancaster will be taking place!
