A private bid may be made to improve internet connections and speeds in the Hubberts Bridge, Frampton and Kirton Holme areas.

Ian Cole, has taken to Kirton Parish Council Community Group on Facebook to invite anyone interested to attend a meeting at Hubberts Bridge Community Centre at 7pm on Tuesday, June 11.

Ian said: “Many people in rural areas have poor internet connections, this is certainly the case in the Hubberts Bridge, Frampton and Kirton Holme area.

“There is a possible solution to this problem, whereby the UK Government is giving residents, businesses and Ofsted-approved schools access to free grants/vouchers to improve their internet connections and speeds.

“For many people the internet is essential in their personal and business lives.

“The area that I am trying to cover is from Hubberts Bridge level crossing through Frampton Fen Lane to Four Crossroads along Swineshead Road to the junction of the A52/B1192 and back towards the level crossing.”
