Boston Market has continued to operate a limited number of stalls throughout lockdown and is looking forward to welcoming back all traders from Wednesday 14 April. Following the government announcement on Monday 5 April to confirm that all retail can re-open on Monday 12 April, Boston Borough Council are pleased to say that Boston market will re-open fully with all traders invited back from Wednesday 14 April.

Boston market is a recognised tourist attraction in its’ own right; with a number of stalls offering a diverse and attractive range of goods, services and fresh local produce. There is something here for everyone – including fruit and veg, plants, cheeses, toys, gadgets, fabrics, sweets, cakes, cards, household goods – there’s so much to see.

In addition to the market in the Market Place itself, the Bargate Green Market is held every Wednesday on Bargate Green.

From June – October 2020 Boston Market saw a daily average of 27 traders on the Market held in the Market Place every Saturday, and 30 traders across both the Market Place and Bargate Green on a Wednesday.

The Council has agreed to provide free trading at Boston Market for a 3 month period from the return of the market. It is hoped this will provide a great boost for those traders who are returning to the Market and provide new traders an opportunity to start up in new business for low costs.

When visiting Boston Market please remember HANDS – FACE – SPACE to keep on protecting each other.

Casual traders have already started booking in for when the Market returns on Wed 14 April and anyone who is looking to trade on the Market should email markets@boston.gov.uk or visit https://www.mybostonuk.com/town-centre/boston-market/ for more information.

All regular traders of Boston Market are urged to send their up to date paperwork to the Council to ensure there is no delays on them returning to the Market for Wed 14 April.
