Fishtoft Parish Council and the Rural Isolation Project Group is planning a major community event and more are invited to get involved.
The event in the village playing field and pavilion from 1pm to 5.30pm on Sunday, September 29, will provide a family fun day and a showcase for organisations and community groups. They will be able to show what they have on offer and raise awareness of services. Anyone can attend.
The Rural Isolation Project Group has received £2,500 from the Lincolnshire County Council Community Collaboration Fund to help support events such as this.
Any group or organisation interested in a stand at the Fishtoft event should apply for a booking form to maddy.eyre@boston.gov.uk
Old Leake Parish Council is already an old hand at organising successful community events. Its annual meeting was expanded to become an event involving the whole community. It has also received £2,500 to assist its rural isolation project by being able to recruit a coordinator to set up new groups and get residents more involved.
