Your Council Tax Bill Explained
A guide to help you understand your council tax bill.
What each numbered section means
1 | This is your personal reference number. You must have this number to hand to talk to us about your bill. |
2 | Date your council tax bill was printed. Any payments made after this date will not be shown on this bill. |
3 | Barcode used to Pay your Council Tax at your local Post Office or Pay Point. |
4 | Name of the person or party responsible for paying the bill. |
5 | The billing address. |
6 | Which council tax band your property is in. |
7 | Your address if it is different to the billing address. |
8 | Other people jointly liable to pay council tax at the address not included in part 4. |
9 | The total amount payable minus any deductions applied. |
10 | This is how much council tax you need to pay for the year or part of the year, and includes details of any reductions. |
11 | Here are details of instalments, amounts due and dates of when you need to pay each instalment. |
12 | How you pay your bill, for example direct debit. |
13 | The reason for notification of the council tax bill. |
14 | Any balance outstanding for other years. |
15 | Your contribution towards council services, the county council services (Lincolnshire County Council), the police service (Lincolnshire Police and Crime Commissioner), your local precept contribution (Parish Precept) and contribution towards Adult Social Care Supplement. |
