Transparency – Payments over £250 (previously – payments over £500)
The Government’s transparency agenda encourages local authorities to make public data openly available. Following this the Secretary of State Eric Pickles has called on Local Authorities to publish all payments over £500 by January 2011. From August 2012, the £500 limit has been reduced to payments over £250.
As part of our commitment to providing financial transparency such items of spend can be seen by month in the ‘related documents’ box at the bottom of this page.
Our aim is to obtain best value on everything we purchase. This is supported through the operation of fair and open competition by following transparent and auditable procedures in all tendering and contracting activity.
While we aim to be as transparent as possible, there may be some cases where we need to withhold information that could be regarded as sensitive for commercial or security reasons, or to protect personal privacy.
For information on data that may be excluded please see the attachment below.
We list transaction spends for this and the previous financial year, if you require a breakdown of payment spends before this time, please contact Jayne Clayton on 01205 314240, or alternatively email: finance@boston.gov.uk
