One You Lincolnshire, a new integrated healthy lifestyle service, has launched to support residents of the county with making significant long-term changes to their health.

Lincolnshire County Council and the Lincolnshire Clinical Commissioning Groups have commissioned the healthy lifestyle provider, Thrive Tribe, to deliver the preventative health service. One You Lincolnshire is the most recent addition to the health provider’s portfolio of services, which includes England’s leading stop smoking services.

Residents in Lincolnshire who meet the criteria for the service will have free access to health coaches that support being smokefree, drinking less, eating well and moving more. The unrivalled offering is reflected in the range of free weight loss programs available. Including, Weight Watchers, Slimming World and MAN v FAT, the football league that rewards players not just for winning games but for losing weight.

Lead Commissioner for Lincolnshire County Council and Director of Public Health, Derek Ward, says, “One You Lincolnshire offers an unprecedented variety in terms of programs to suit the client’s needs. The health care provider has a track record in successfully supporting clients to make changes to their health. They take an approach that considers clients motivation and lifestyle to recommend a program that matches their needs. Clients who would benefit from being in a social setting, for example, verses those who find more value from getting support over the phone.

“We are proud to support the process of more people in the county making small changes to their health that lead to a longer, and healthier, life.”

There are a number of ways to access the service. Carers that are being supported by Lincolnshire Carers Service, and residents who want to stop smoking, can sign-up online, call or email the service to speak with a member of the team.

Residents who are not carers and meet the criteria can access the service through their GP or a member of their Health Care team for support with eating well, moving more, losing weight or drinking less.
