Our parks and ground maintenance team are responsible for managing 15 playgrounds in the Borough.

Central Park:

Established in the Victoria times, Central Park is in the heart of the town centre.

The park is a great place to visit. It has numerous facilities for all ages to enjoy. It is especially popular throughout the summer months and is often used by families for an afternoon out in the sunshine. Our facilities include:

  • Bird aviaries
  • Wildlife garden
  • Flower and shrub beds
  • Victorian garden
  • Outdoor gym equipment
  • Basketball hoops
  • Football goal posts
  • Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA)
  • Play area (including wheelchair swing and wheelchair roundabout)
  • Community growing space (fruit and vegetables)
  • Picnic benches
  • Refreshment kiosk
  • Toilets (20p charge)
  • Litter-picked daily

Boston Central Park Closing Times

Summer – 22nd June 2022 to 30th October 2022 – 5.30am to 10pm
Autumn/Winter – 31st October 2022 to 26th March 2023 – 5.30am to 6pm
Spring/Summer – 27th March 2023 to 29th October 2023 – 5.30am to 10pm
