It has been confirmed that the Spitfire flypast for the 1940s’ event in Central Park will be at 2.38pm on Sunday, June 23 – weather permitting.

From 10am to 4pm the same day there will also be a vintage fair, afternoon tea parlours, vintage cars, re-enactments, trade stands and entertainment from Kirton Brass Band, The 40s’ Home Front, Boston Jive, Dream Belles and more. And it’s free entry.

The outdoor cinema will be back for this event, which will be even bigger, thanks to funding from Boston Big Local.

There will be an outdoor cinema showing of Disney’s original Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in Central Park on Friday, June 21, gates open at 5pm, film starts at 6.15pm.

The Dam Busters film will also be shown in Central Park on Saturday, June 22, gates open from 3pm and the film starts at 4pm. Tickets for both films are available at www.visitbostonuk.com

On the Saturday, June 22, there will be afternoon teas available at the Guildhall from noon to 2pm – tickets at guildhall@boston.gov.uk and a 1940s’ dance from 8pm to 11pm at the White Hart – no partners needed, tickets £8 from 07737 064128 or 01205 311900, or £10 on the door.

There will be free live music and entertainment in the Market Place from 11am to 3pm.
