May Fair back in town

Boston May Fair is back from Saturday, May 4 to Saturday, May 11.

It is still one of the top five street fairs in the country, has a Royal Charter and is surrounded by tradition and ceremony.

The town centre will be completely taken over by a wide variety of fairground attractions, including thrill rides, children’s rides and food stalls. It will be open from noon to 11pm on the first Saturday, and from 11am to 10.30pm on every other day except for the Friday, when it will be open from 11am to 11pm and on the Sunday when it will be open from 1pm to 9pm. Some of the bigger rides will only be available from 5pm.

The fair in miniature will also be on display at Boston Guildhall on Saturday, May 11, from 10.30am to 3.30pm, last admission 3pm.
Admission to the Boston Model Fairground Show is free and will afford a bird’s eye view of miniature delights of modern times and yesteryear.
Enjoy a cup of tea and a slice of cake from Chocolate Fairy catering at their pop-up café in the Banqueting Hall.  There will also a chance to create your own fairground ride in a drawing competition.
