The Omicron Hospitality and Leisure Grant (OHLG), aimed at supporting those businesses in the hospitality, leisure, and accommodation sectors most impacted by the Covid-19 Omicron variant, is now open to eligible businesses across Boston Borough.

The grant was announced by government in late December 2021 recognising that the rise in rates of the Omicron variant resulted in significant business impact. Eligible rated businesses will be supported with one-off grants of up to £6,000, with total grant amounts dependent on each business’s rateable value. Full details of grant amounts can be found at www.mybostonuk.com/ohlg/.

Businesses interested in applying for the scheme are encouraged to check their eligibility on the Government’s website and submit an application as soon as possible, should they be eligible, at www.mybostonuk.com/ohlg/.

Councillor Nigel Welton, Deputy Leader of the Council and Portfolio Holder – Economic Development and Planning, said: “I’m pleased to be able to open this scheme for our businesses. I know the surge in cases that began in December disrupted a lot of the traditional trading that our businesses would typically experience over Christmas, so it’s great to be able to offer them some support. I’d encourage all eligible businesses to make sure they get their applications in as soon as they can.”
