Hello and welcome to the latest Bulletin. My name is PC Will Robson and I am a Community Beat Manager in the Boston Town West Neighbourhood Policing Team. I joined this Team one year ago, but I have been a Police Constable for almost 9 years.
Throughout my time in the Police I have attended every kind of incident that you could imagine from the most distressing and violent to the most rewarding. I have always worked in Boston and it is a very diverse and passionate community and I feel lucky that I get to Police this Town.
The Neighbourhood Policing Team that I am now a part of strive to be visible, accessible and an approachable part of the Community. We look to try and solve the ongoing issues in the area and I feel that in Boston working with good Partner Agencies that we are achieving that. There is no doubt that working together we can find the best solution to local community issues. Even in my short time on the team I have witnessed and been a part of these successes.
2020 was a difficult Year for everyone and we have now started the New Year in a further National Lockdown. This has brought about challenges for all of us. It is imperative that during this Lockdown we abide by the rules set out by the Government to ensure that we keep every member of this Community safe. However, In 2021 I can see a glimmer of light at the end of this tunnel as the vaccine is being rolled out to our most vulnerable and to our tireless NHS workers and Care Workers. We must now look forward without fear and embrace the opportunities that the New Year brings to us and hopefully soon return to a bit more normality.
Due to the guidelines my day to day Policing has been edited slightly over the past year. However, this has not distracted me or my colleagues from our Policing Priorities. The Community we serve is given the opportunity to contribute to our Priority setting. Choosing a priority specific to each beat area allows us to be led by the local residents and by working with the Anti-Social Behaviour Officers at Boston Borough Council we have curbed the behavior of some persistent rule breaking individuals. On top of this, we have also enforced Closure Orders on specific houses that attract crime and become the centre of anti-social behaviour in the Community.
As we continue to march into 2021, I will continue to work targeting these priorities and hopefully get to see you all on my patrols in Boston. Thank you and stay safe.
