The annual popular music festival, “Framfest”, organised by the Friends of Frampton Church in aid of the ongoing works of the Frampton Churches was established in 2011, and has grown in size over the years and is now a well-attended, much loved event by local residents around the Borough.
Sadly, the event has fallen victim to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and organisers decided earlier in the year not to proceed with the event. In a statement, a spokesman for Friends of Frampton Church said:
“Even if regulations and restrictions are lifted by the time that Framfest is due to be held, it would leave us with a short space of time in order to organise the event, which may result in a drop in standards to what those attending the event have become to love”.
It’s not all sad news however, as Station Manager of Boston’s 107 Endeavour FM, Dylan Taylor, offered the use of the station’s broadcasting, to reach the residents of Boston, allowing them to have their own Framfest at home. Mr Taylor said: “107 Endeavour FM has attended Framfest for many years, and we’d miss it too much, if it wasn’t possible for it to go ahead completely. When Jo-Anne mentioned that the event had to be cancelled, I suggested an audible festival, and we’ve been working ever since to get the idea to become a reality.”
Framfest 2020 will be held from 1pm on Saturday 20th June 2020, and will feature a large volume of local guests, all pre-recorded ensuring social distancing is maintained. Performances will include: The Vigilantes, Kings and Bears, The Ultraviolet, Lulu, Kill The Ideal, Rusty Sierra, Revolver, Boston Youth Jazz Orchestra, Shayla Motley, Boston Pop Choir, Phoebe Ophelia Mullard, Paul Green and Amy Wilkinson & Dance Club.

Jo-Anne Reynolds Overton said: “I’m really grateful to Dylan and the 107 Endeavour FM team for helping bring Framfest to the homes of Boston. I’m so passionate about this event, and it’s exciting to see it happen a totally different way to what we’re used to. This year, every penny donated will go back to our community, supporting local charities that have suffered as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic. Our friends at The Elite Media Co. have kindly designed a poster and are building a donation page to enable anyone to donate from the phone, throughout the event.”

This years FRAMFEST will take place on the airwaves of Boston’s 107 Endeavour FM
