Boston Preservation Trust Civic Group hosted the 2019 Pride of Boston Awards Reception at Fydell House on Monday 10th February 2020.
During 2019 the Civic Group recognised people and places who have made a positive difference to the fabric, reputation or well-being of Boston.
Boston’s heritage is something to be proud of and the Civic Group congratulate all those who make a substantial effort to improve and maintain the environment, particularly in the town centre which is the principal showpiece for all our visitors, and local residents, alike.
Similarly, we recognise the special achievements of individuals and groups from which we all benefit.
Certificates of Excellence were presented during 2019 to 18 People and Places, and included Hanse Big Dig, South End; Wide Bargate annual motorcycle event; Callum Johnson, Boxer; Chris Lowis, litter picker; Ernie Napier, Tourism; Fydell House Gardening Team; Hilda Johnson, gardener; South Lincolnshire Scaffolding, Boston Stump; Café de Paris, Bridge Street; Venture Offices, Wide Bargate; White Hart Hotel; Hoppers the Jewellers, Market Place; Morley, Brown & Co, Solicitors, Main Ridge West; Captain Cod Restaurant, Market Place; Stump & Candle Public House, Market Place; Boston College, Engineering, Manufacturing & Technology, Skirbeck Road; Custom House, South Street.
All were invited to the Awards Reception to celebrate the announcement of the 2019 winners with the awards being presented by the Mayor of Boston, Cllr. Anton Dani and Civic Group Chairman Dudley Bryant MBE to: –
