Final fundraising events are to be held for the Boston students’ visit to Hakusan in Japan.
The 2018/2019 Hakusan City Exchange is nearing its goal, and a group of 12 students and two chaperones will depart for Japan on July 15.
A race night with fish and chip supper will be held at the Danny Flear Centre, Freiston, on Friday, June 7, doors open at 7pm, start, 7.30pm.
On Sunday, June 9, a car boot sale will be held at Boston College from 8am to noon. And also on Sunday, June 9, watch out for the Hakusan City Exchange stall at the Friskney Show.
The students will also be packing customer shopping at Morrisons, Pinchbeck, on Saturday, July 13.
The group has also designed its own t-shirt logo which has been sewn into their polo shirts in readiness for the trip. Their Japanese counterparts will also be presented with a T-shirt as a gift.
Students have also busy working on their song and dance routine which will be performed in Hakusan City, both at their trip to a junior school and at the farewell party in Hakusan before they take the Bullet Train trip back to Tokyo.
They have thanked supporters and sponsors, in particular Darren and Samanta at Poundstretcher in Boston who very kindly donated various chocolate and confectionary items for the Easter egg hunt and family event.
