As we have moved out of the Covid19 restrictions, Wellbeing Lincs have seen a large increase in the number of referrals especially in Boston area, while East Lindsey remains the busiest district overall.
Wellbeing Lincs successes are largely down to early intervention, ensuring that vulnerable people receive help before matters get worse. This not only benefits the clients overall health, it also protects Adult Care services for the most vulnerable.
Referrals to the Wellbeing Lincs service have increased following awareness-raising and referral information being more accessible, in Boston. Boston and East Lindsey has specifically benefited from this information being available in a number of different languages. Calls to the helpline have also increased with calls being twice the usual volume on several days last month. June was the second highest ever monthly total.
David Postle, Wellbeing Lincs Service Manager said: “This great news comes at a time when the county is starting to return to a degree of normality after a very challenging eighteen months, and the increase in Boston will certainly have been helped by the strategic alliance of two local authorities.
“Wellbeing Lincs continues to raise the bar when it comes to helping the vulnerable residents of Lincolnshire, and this increase in referrals shows that our reputation for success and great service is now well established.
