Boston’s Christmas event yesterday was a roaring success, growing once more throughout the town delivered a bigger event for all to enjoy. Voted the best yet thousands of people filled the Market Place and through to Wide Bargate for Boston’s big start to Christmas.
More than 50 stalls were set up in the town, with many attractions for children’s entertainment including free face painting and a trip to Santa.
A huge thank you to the Christmas in Boston team who have worked hard over many months to ensure the town is lit for Christmas and they took to the stage at 6.30pm to switch on the lights, joined by their invited guests.
Transported once again created a fabulous Illuminate parade, in addition to the parade this year included a fire garden and projection onto the Assembly Rooms.
The day began with the opening of the Christmas Market by Boston Mayor Cllr Anton Dani alongside Lincs FM presenters and first act of the day the Mayfields Community Choir.
Live entertainment continued on the main stage and in Strait and Wide Bargate, only pausing in the evening for the Illuminate Parade and the big lights switch on.
Many residents took to social media after the event giving their thanks and appreciation to everyone involved.
