Boston Market last year was in the top 10 of the poll to find Britain’s Favourite Market.

NABMA (National Association of British Market Authorities) is asking people across the UK to vote for their market of the year for 2020. Time is running short to cast your vote, as polls close on Friday 30th November. Simply go to https://www.nabma.com/vote/ and type in the name of your favourite market to help Boston take the famous title.

Boston Borough Council’s portfolio holder for markets, Cllr Chelcei Sharman said: “I’m not surprised that last year we reached the top 10, but this year we want to come out at the top. Place those votes to see us named Britain’s Favourite Market. This is our chance to show the rest of the country just how much Boston Market has to offer.

“The lead up of Christmas is a great time for our market town. Why not head down to your local market and experience the festive atmosphere, enjoy some tasty treats and find perfect gift ideas?”

In addition to our normal market opening hours, there are also special festive markets taking place.

Boston Christmas Market is on Thursday 21 November with stalls in Market Place and Wide Bargate, Santa’s Grotto, Festive Street Performers, Illuminate Parade, light switch-on by Christmas In Boston and live music and entertainment throughout the day from 12noon to 8pm.

On Sunday 15 December, 10am to 3pm we have our Festive Market, which will host stalls in Market Place and Pescod Square, Santa’s Grotto returning to Pescod Square for £2.50pp, Santa Fun Run from Central Park finishing in the Market Place, Festive fun and games, live entertainment and the  Annual Motorcycle Toy Run.

Boston Market Place will also host Boston Craft and Gift fairs every Thursday in December on the lead up to Christmas from 10am to 3pm with festive festivities from 12noon to 2pm.
