Our #BeBoston campaign is your chance to show pride for your Boston community by celebrating all that makes us unique.

You may have chosen to make Boston your new home, or perhaps you are Boston born and bred and have stories going back generations. Either way, you are part of the contribution in making our much-loved town a happier and more prosperous place to live, and we think that’s worth shouting about.

How to #BeBoston

It’s really easy to get involved. Firstly, we would like to invite you to pledge your support to the #BeBoston campaign by adding our specially-designed #BeBoston cover image to your social media profiles which can be downloaded by clicking on the ‘download’ button below and right-clicking the image to save it to your computer. Alternatively, if you’re using your mobile, then simply tap the ‘download’ button and tap the image to save it to your device.

How to update your cover photo to the #BeBoston Banner (for mobile)

Step 1: Download the #BeBoston cover image from the button above.

Step 2: Tap the camera icon at the bottom right of your cover photo on your Facebook profile page.

Step 3: Tap ‘Upload A Photo’ to upload a photo from your device.

Step 4: Drag the photo to adjust as required.

Step 5: Tap ‘Set as Cover Photo’.

 

How to update your cover photo to the #BeBoston Banner (for desktop)

Step 1: Download the #BeBoston cover image from the button above.

Step 2: Navigate to your profile page by clicking on your name either at the top on the right or on the left hand side of the screen.

Step 3: Click the ‘Edit Cover Photo’ button at the bottom right of your cover picture.

Step 4: Click ‘Upload Photo’ to upload a photo from your computer.

Step 5: After choosing the #BeBoston cover image from your files, click the photo and drag it up or down to reposition it.

Step 6: Click ‘Save Changes’.

 

After you have uploaded your new #BeBoston cover image, there are a number of other ways you can #BeBoston:

  • Follow our social media pages and look out for plenty of fascinating #BeBoston stories; tales of the past, present and promising future of Boston. We encourage you to join in and share these with your own friends and followers.
  • Post your own stories about Boston. These can be anything from celebrating Boston’s unsung Covid heroes and random acts of kindness, to beautiful pictures you have taken of the Boston area, whether landmarks or your favourite local café to grab a drink. Using the hashtag #BeBoston.
  • Support local businesses. Do you have a favourite cafe, craft shop, local store or market stall? We invite you to shop local and help Boston’s independents thrive.
  • Commit to getting to know people from different communities. We are inviting representatives from different communities to become ambassadors and to invite people to their events and celebrations (when Covid safe).

We’re excited to hear your individual stories, that make up one united Boston.
