Thank you to all of those who voted in the Your Market Trader of the Year campaign.
Kelly Coombs and her daughters from Brandon’s Fruit & Veg received the most amount of votes and will be your Market Trader of Year for Boston Market 2021. This great team stands on the Wednesday and Saturday market in Boston outside Holland & Barrett whatever the weather. They worked through the later part of the Covid-19 pandemic providing fresh fruit and vegetables to our residents. Brandon’s Fruit & Veg was originally owned by Kelly’s mother and father, Alan and Valerie who traded on Boston Market for over 25 years, Kelly has now stepped up and took over the reins.
Cllr Tracey Abbott, Portfolio Holder for Town Centre Services presented Kelly with her prizes which includes a free advertisement barrier cover, a hamper, Boston Market tote bag, two markets rent-free, one month’s free parking and one month’s free gym membership at Boston Leisure Centre. Cllr Abbot said to Kelly: “This competition is a fantastic way for us to celebrate our markets and for local people to get involved. You all offer a wide variety of quality products with affordable prices and I think this is vital to our community and we wanted you to get the recognition you deserve, well done Kelly and all of your team”.
Boston Market is open every Wednesday and Saturday 8.30am to 3.30pm in the Market Place with additional stalls and an Auction on Bargate Green on a Wednesday.
