They could be Boston’s youngest litter pickers – these children from our local nursery absolutely loved the experience.

Infants from The Home Nursery in Boston last week were out in central park doing a spot of litter picking.

Laura Martin, deputy manager at the nursery school, said: “The children were so excited to join in with such a lovely thing to do for the community.”

Jenny Moore, Boston Borough Council’s, Environment Supervisor provided the litter pickers for the day.

She said: “The nursery approached me and asked if they could borrow some litter pickers to do a litter pick  with the children, I think it’s really good that they are inspiring children as young as this to take care of the environment. Hopefully the experience will stay with them as they get older and encourage them not to litter.
